Jeremy Sisto rakes his mop of dark brown hair out of
his eyes and lets loose a slightly embarrassed grin as he talks about
his first shooting day on the set of Grand Canyon.
"The very first thing I had to do was a make-out scene with a girl
I had never met before," says Sisto in his gravelly tone. "She
was a really great girl, but I didn't pay much attention to her at the
time because I was so overwhelmed by everything. Although," he adds
devilishly, "I did go out with her a couple of weeks after that."
Still juggling high school and a career, with one eye on college, 17-year-old
Sisto, who has been acting in commercials and the theater for the past
ten years, takes a practical view of his sudden fame. "I don't want
to be locked into acting as my only path," he explains. But the lure
of Hollywood is never far from Sisto's thoughts. "At the premiere
of Grand Canyon, Kevin Costner had some guy come and bring me over to
him... he told me I really did a fine job. It was like, wow! Kevin Costner!
I just couldn't close my mouth." |
